How to use this tool?
This GPA Calculator computes your Grade Point Average based on up to four courses. Follow these steps:
- Enter Grade (0–4): For each course, input a numeric grade where A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0. You can use decimals (e.g., 3.5).
- Enter Credits: Input the credit hours for each course (e.g., 3). Use decimals if needed (e.g., 0.5 for half-credits).
- Fill Only Used Courses: Leave unused course fields blank. At least one course with both grade and positive credits is required.
- Click "Calculate GPA": The result shows your GPA rounded to two decimals, total credits, and a formula breakdown.
Formula: GPA = (Σ Grade × Credits) ÷ Σ Credits. Example: (3.5 × 3 + 3.0 × 4) ÷ (3 + 4) = 22.5 ÷ 7 = 3.21.
Note: Grades must be between 0 and 4. Credits must be positive. Errors display in red.
